A simple quilt pattern can be purchased at any craft store. Make a small one for a doll or a larger one as a keepsake. This would also make a great community project to donate to a children’s hospital or shelter. This item is available on multiple websites at different prices - please see the links below. There are many recipes online for a variety of different jams. I prefer to use freezer jam recipes as it is easier and the kids can help more. This does take much of the day. You might want to do it over a weekend; pick berries one day and then make jam the next. Make homemade jam |

This is by no means an exhaustive list. Please take the time to search your area for places that fit the study and would appeal to your children. The list below indicates field trip suggestions that can be done in any part of our country (some longer driving may be required), as well as field trips listed by area, if I have first-hand knowledge of great field trip locations. If you have a suggestion you would like to share, please send me an email. |
